“Fall Out Boy”‘s Patrick Stump is now a solo act who has released his new cd, “Soul Punk.” Along with spreading the word about his cd’s release, Stump has also been putting out several a capella medley videos which not only show his range as an vocal artist, but the many genres and musicial groups Stump loves. This video, which is a send-up to Kanye West’s songs, is no different.

Four minutes and 36 seconds has never been this jammed-packed with West hits. Eleven songs–“Power,” “Gold Digger,” “Izzo”/”I Want You Back,” “Knock You Down,” “Slow Jamz,” “All of the Lights,” “Stronger,” “Flashing Lights,” “Through the Wire” and “Runaway”–make up the video, and he medley itself is so entertaining that it will make you want to revisit your favorite West cds. It also makes me intrigued to see what Stump’s solo album is like. If it’s anything like the medley, it’s bound to be awesome.

You can watch the medley below this post or at Popdust, where it was originally posted. If you’re a fan of Stump, you’ll love it, I think.

After viewing the video, write your opinions on it (as well as your excitement for his solo cd) in the comments section below. You can buy “Soul Punk” at iTunes.
