MTV is looking to cast Occupy Wall Street protesters in the upcoming 27th season of its hit reality show ‘The Real World,’ AOL TV is reporting. The cable network is considering filming in New York for the fourth time, and is looking to cast politically aware housemates.

‘The Real World’s casting directors have placed an ad on New York City’s Craigslist, specifically targeting the Occupy Wall Street protesters. The ad reads: “MTV’s ‘Real World’ is seeking cast members to tell their unique stories on our show. If you are over the age of 20 and appear to be between the ages of 20-24, and the description below sounds like you, we want to hear from you!”

The ad then continues by encouraging anyone part of the Occupy Wall Street movement to contact MTV at realworldcasting@bunim-murray.com with three recent pictures, a biography and contact information. Sash Alpert, the Senior Vice President of Casting for Bunim/Murray Productions, said “We are always looking for people who are involved in whatever is going on in the world around them. We are always looking for passionate people.”

‘The Real World’ has had a history of finding cast members in New York, Alpert added. She hopes passionate protesters will sign up for the series to get their message to a wider audience. “We want a broad spectrum of people,” she also said.
