One costume I forgot to put on the Top 10 Halloween Costumes list is the Pan Am Stewardess costume. Now, there are some stewardess costumes out there for you to buy, however, if you don’t feel like being “sexy stewardess,” the costumes might not suit you. So what is there to do? ABC’s got you covered.

At ABC’s “Pan Am” site, they have a PDF which not only describes what you’ll need to buy (a blue suit, white collared shirt, black high heels and nylons), but they also give you the finishing touches–a “Pan Am” pin, patterns for the special pillbox hat, and a large Pan Am logo you can tape to a large blue bag (that is, if you haven’t already ordered and received your official Pan Am bag).

The PDF packet is very helpful for those who want to be a Pan Am stewardess. Also, if you’re crafty, you might want to try making a real hat from the pattern later on after Halloween. I’m going to try to do that–hopefully it turns out well. Click here to check out the PDF.

What are some other ways you’ve made your Pan Am costume? Give your ideas in the comments section below (a hint for those trying to find an “official” looking suit instead of just a church suit–try medical clothing sites. There are a few lab coats and skirts that are the right shade of blue).
