Jane Fonda is a favorite of a lot of movie fans, so I’m sure her fans will be glad to see her receive the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award from The Hollywood Reporter.

The magazine and site of the same name is reporting that the honor will be given during The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment breakfast December 7, presented by Lifetime Networks. The presentation by Lansing of the award, which honors a woman who is, according to the site, “a pioneer and leader in her respective industry,” will also coincide with the publication of the magazine’s yearly list of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment. This year will be the 20th anniversary of Women in Entertainment.

The Hollywood Reporter’s editorial director, Janice Min, said she is “thrilled” about this year’s recipient. “Jane Fonda is an icon, someone whose passion, candor and honesty through her career has made her not only fascinating, but a true role model for so many of us. I am thrilled Sherry Lansing and The Hollywood Reporter are honoring such a legend.”
