For fans of the hit FX show “Sons of Anarchy,” a must-have is “Sons of Anarchy” gear. Now, you can shop to your heart’s content using the new “Sons of Anarchy” interactive shopping app for the Apple iPad, which was just released November 1.
The app, “SOA Gear,” which can be downloaded from iTunes, is the first-ever second screen interactive shopping app. According to the press release:
“Compatible with Apple’s iPad, the app launches to coincide with the airing of Sons of the Anarchy episode 9. Simply download and launch the “SOA Gear” app from the Apple iTunes store and app automatically synchronizes while watching Sons of Anarchy and then highlights the specific products available for purchase!”
Aside from the exclusive merchandise you can buy, the app also features behind-the-scenes footage, which is really unique for a shopping app.
The Season 3 Blu-ray of “Sons of Anarchy” is now available in stores nationwide, and is also compatible with the app, which should be fun for those who want to buy something immediately after watching the episodes on the Blu-ray. Here’s how that works:
“Using BD-Live, the Sons of Anarchy Season 3 Blu-ray Disc automatically syncs with the “SOA Gear” app for full control and navigation of the show on the Apple iPad. Fans can click on unique merchandise and products from the show, and the Blu-ray Disc automatically highlights the item for purchase.”
