At one point, fans of popular-but-cancelled ABC soap “All My Children” thought they had a hope of seeing their favorite characters again due to media group Prospect Park announcing their plans to put “All My Children” and fellow cancelled ABC soap “One Life to Live” online in order to save them from complete cancellation. However, something’s been changing at Prospect Park.

According to TVLine and ABC Soaps In Depth, Prospect Park has decided to indefinitely put their reboot plans for “Children” on hold. Originally, the plan was for “Children” to air on TheOnlineNetwork.com, a website that is supposed to debut in the early part of 2012.

According to ABC Soaps In Depth, Prospect Park has decided that they only need one soap opera for The Online Network. Because The Online Network had gotten further along with the development of “Life” than “Children,” they have decided to pursue that soap instead of “Children.”

Cameron Mathison and Lindsay Hartley had been the only “Children” actors to commit to an online version of the soap. Now it looks like they won’t get the work, which is a shame.

I suppose “Children” fans had best get used to the idea of their favorite soap going off the air on both television and online.
