“Lady and the Tramp” is a favorite of many Disney fans, and for those Disney fans who love Blu-ray, you’ll finally be able to see it in your preferred viewing format.

According to CinemaBlend, “Lady and the Tramp” will be released February 7, 2012, making it the first Diamond Edition for the year. Also, according to the site, the film was originally restored for a DVD release in 2006 and has been in the vault since 2007.

This is really exciting, since Diamond Editions are–at least at this point in DVD/Blu-ray technology–the ultimate in Disney DVDs and Blu-rays. According to CinemaBlend, some of the special features to be on the Diamond Edition are some features from the 2006 DVD, such as the “Bella Notte” music video as well as a storyboard art featurette, and a “making of” featurette. Other special features include Disney Second Screen, a featurette about Diane Disney Miller speaking about her father, Walt Disney; a featurette about Walt Disney’s story meeting concerning “The Lady and the Tramp,” three deleted scenes, and a deleted song.

You can pre-order “Lady and the Tramp” at the Disney Store for $24.99. If you pre-order with Disney, you can also get up to $20 off on your next Disney purchace and a free lithograph set offer.
