YouTube is the place where ordinary folks can become stars, and Ray William Johnson, host of his show “Equals 3,” is now at the top of the pack. His RayWilliamJohnson channel on YouTube has now reached the five million subscriber mark!

Along with gaining his five millionth subscriber, The Guinness Book of World Records has recently crowned Johnson as the most subscribed video channel of all-time.

According to the release, Johnson has built up his “Equals 3” fanbase by engaging audiences between the 18-34 demographic, eventually cultivating a bigger following in that coveted demographic than every late night show put together. Johnson has also had big guest stars such as John Cho and Kal Penn from the “Harold and Kumar” films and Robin Williams.

“When they told me I’d reached five million, I just couldn’t believe it because I honestly feel like I know every single person,” said Johnson. “Obviously, I can’t individually know five million people, but I appreciate each and every one of them and I think if I’m lucky enough to hit 10 million–I’ll have to plan better and do something special. Like give that person a free turkey.”
