The creative director for Lady Gaga, Laurieann Gibson has decided to step down from her post. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cause hasn’t been revealed yet, but from past reports of Gibson and Gaga butting head, particularly with the “Judas” music video, some tension might have been part of the reason for the split, such as MediaTakeOut, who was the first to break the news on the split, citing that Gibson and Gaga had a “bitter fight.”

It’s also not clear if she’s been fired, but she states that she has decided to “step away.” According to her official statement, she is happy with the work she has done for Gaga, and feels “extremely proud of her.”

“Recently, Lady Gaga was motivated to take the helm of the creative direction of her career and as such I decided to step away,” she said in the statement, which you can read in its entirety at The Hollywood Reporter.
