Little Monsters might be excited to know that a teaser clip from Lady Gaga’s “Marry the Night” music video has been released!

Entertainment Weekly has given their rundown on the clip, which you can read by clicking here. Here’s my take:

The clip shows Gaga on a gurney with two stylish nurses pushing her to what looks like the main part of a mental institution. Gaga appears to be knocked out (how, I don’t know), and as we see her being pushed by the nurses, she gives us a voiceover explaining how she remembers things in her life the way she wants to remember them. “…[T]ruthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest, because I invented it,” she says. “It’s not that I’ve been dishonest, it’s just I loathe reality.”

She goes on to talk about how she has imagined the nurses to have their caps worn at an angle like berets, how the nurses are wearing next season Calvin Klein, etc.

Personally, I’m nonplussed when it comes to Lady Gaga’s narrative; I went to an arts high school, so I feel like I’ve already heard iterations of Lady Gaga’s voiceovers because her scripts sound like things I’ve already heard read by high school creative writers. But that’s not to say that the clip isn’t entertaining. In fact, the full video, which will clock in at over seven minutes, could be awesome. The clip is just what it’s supposed to be, a teaser for the full video.

You can view the clip below. If you agree or don’t agree with my opinion, please sound off in the comments section below.
