With Paramore’s recent Farro brothers loss, the timing is ideal for the Los Angele rock band, Valora, to step up to the plate. So, move aside Hailey Williams because Syd Duran is about to hit a home run. Rounded out by Ryan Villa, Taelor Duran, Jared Baez, Kasim Somers and Kenneth Benson, Valora released the music video for their single, “I Waited For You”, back in October. The video featured Duran planting a nice punch on her cheating boyfriend’s face. Sorry for ruining the ending, but it should be no surprise that Duran is a badass.
Continuing with the “I Waited For You” spirit, Valora has teamed up with Creative Allies to launch a fan-generated poster contest for their single. Creative Allies is a site that allows designers, artists and illustrators to create art for their favorite bands, films and festivals. So, to all you talented Shockya folks give the Valora contest your best shot. You have until December 28th to win the grand prize of $500 and a Valora prize pack.
