FilmOn.com is going to have a new network to add to their lineup of online entertainment. The Carvell Company will launch Odyssey Network Television, a new IPTV network dedicated to classic science-fiction, horror and fantasy. The network will debut on FilmOn January 1, 2012. Odyssey will also be available worldwide on TV through set-top devices, Andorid and iPhone and iPad devices.

According to the press release, Odyssey will have well-known and little known movies and television series starring Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Jack Nicholson, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, Jr., James Earl Jones, Jack Palance, Bill Paxton, Mark Hamill, Brandon Lee, Robert Patrick and more. Also shown on the network will be works by Roger Corman, George A. Romero and other well-established directors. According to Odyssey president Kevin Carvell, Odyssey is “a cross between Sci-Fi Channel of 20 years ago and TCM.”

Odyssey’s premiere will feature a 24-hour “One Step Beyond” marathon, and OdysseyNetwork.tv, the channel’s site, will feature highlights of the month’s programming, a listing of upcoming genre conventions, and shopping. A spotlight on Living Legends, which will showcase where you can hire sci-fi celebrities for events, will also be featured.
