Ridley Scott’s film “Prometheus” has been talked about as one of the biggest movies of 2012, if not the biggest one of 2012, period. Mostly because it’s Scott’s return to the sci-fi genre he helped redefine with “Alien,” but also because of the stellar cast, which includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Patrick Wilson and Charlize Theron.

Not much has been made of what Theron’s role is (or anyone else’s roles, for that matter), but Perez Hilton managed to get the scoop on what Theron will be doing in the film.

According to the site, Theron said in a recent interview that her character is the opposition in the film. “I play somewhat of a villain in it,” she said. “…She’s not a believer. She’s not a scientist. She’s the red tape that everyone has to go through.” She went on to say that her character is working with the company that is sponsoring the space expedition “and you can feel she definitely has an agenda, which we pick up in the third act.” She described her character as being “more quiet thunder.”

Her character sounds like she could fill somewhat of a Carter Burke role since she’s all about bureaucracy. What do you think? Give your opinions in the comments section below.
