“The Dark Knight Rises” is bound to be the subject of many trailer spoofs simply due to the fact that its so serious. There have been tons of spoof videos put on YouTube already, and one of the latest ones comes from We Heart Commercials.

We Heart Commercials’ trailer spoof, “The Dark Sitter Rises,” splices together scenes and dialogue from both the Jonah Hill comedy “The Sitter” and the Christopher Nolan film. What was originally a funny film about a slacker trying to take care of some kids while outrunning criminals is now a gritty action-thriller involving low, gravely talking, explosions, gun-shooting, fist fights, car chases and heroic speeches, all centered around getting the keys to the minivan back.

You can watch the video on YouTube or below the post.

What do you think about the spoof? If “The Sitter” was made as a dark film, would you watch it? Give your opinions in the comments section below.

The actual film “The Dark Knight Rises” is set to be the last in the Nolan-verse “Batman” series starring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cotillard, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy and Michael Caine. The film will be in theaters July 20, 2012.
