The Knights of the Round Table assembled earlier Wednesday to talk about their roles in the newest season of “Merlin.” Tom Hopper (Sir Percival), Adetomiwa Edun (Sir Elyan), Rupert Young (Sir Leon) and Eoin Macken (Sir Gwaine) obviously bring a lot of zest to an already popular show; off-screen, they seem like a real group of comrades, joking with each other like a true band of brothers.

All of the actors were fans of “Merlin” before becoming a part of it. “I did [watch it] because it was a wonderful show,” said Macken. “They [the episodes] were written really, really well, and then we came along and ruined it.” Through everyone’s laughter, Edun quipped, “Speaking for Tom and myself, I think we disagree.”

For the group, one of the biggest pleasures of working on the show is acting with the great cast of actors, particularly Colin Morgan (Merlin) and Bradley James (Arthur). “Colin and Bradley in particular are brilliant,” said Macken. Young also said, “They’re the hardest-working people I’ve met. They make us raise our game.”

Of course, with so many handsome guys in the show, there’s bound to be a lot of female fans. However, according to Edun, there’s one thing that one of the actors has that creates envy in a lot of girls. “A lot of girls are jealous of Eoin Macken’s hair,” he said. “They ask me what products he uses.”

You can watch the Knights of the Round Table battle evil with Merlin and Arthur on this season of “Merlin,” which airs Fridays at 10/9 c.
