The Super Bowl spot for “The Dictator” gave viewers a good taste of what the newest movie starring Sacha Baron Cohen will be like, but for anyone that missed the spot, you can 1) watch it online, and 2) watch for the shorter spot, which is also below the post as well as on YouTube.

Also, make sure to check out the official site for the Republic of Wadiya, the country which General Aladeen (Baron Cohen) lords over. You can visit the both the English and Wadiyan versions of the website here. This website shows the commitment Baron Cohen goes to when it comes to portraying his characters.

The film, according to IMDB, is β€œ[t]he heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.”

β€œThe Dictator,” directed by Larry Charles, also stars Bobby Lee, Kevin Corrigan, Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, John C. Reilly, B.J. Novak, J.B. Smoove and Aasif Mandvi. The film comes to theaters May 11.

What do you think about the film? Are you going to see it when it comes out? Also, since the Baron Cohen’s films generally have an embedded political message, what do you think about the message this movie will have? Give your opinions in the comments section below.
