Arnold Schwarzenegger will star alongside Sylvester Stallone in the upcoming action-thriller ‘The Tomb,’ which will be directed by ‘The Rite’ helmer Mikael Hafstrom. The film, which was written by Miles Chapman, will be released by Summit Entertainment. It will begin shooting in spring 2012 in Louisiana.

‘The Tomb’ follows Stallone’s character, Ray Breslin, who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He has analyzed every high security prison, gaining a vast array of survival skills in the process. Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are tested when he has to escape the master prison of his own design. Schwarzenegger will play Church, a complex inmate who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity as they struggle to stay alive.

‘The Tomb’s producer, Mark Canton, said he’s thrilled to be working on the film with Stallone and Schwarzenegger. “It’s a perfect pairing for this high octane thriller,” he added.
