ShockYa is forever indebted to AWOLNATION. The Aaron Bruno fronted group dropped it’s debut album, “Megalithic Symphony”, on March 15th, 2011, but the release date is irrelevant, since the full-length still sounds as refreshing as it did last Spring.
If the outfit’s electro-rock sound isn’t as contagiously vivacious as it was for you in 2011 then the group will remind you with a live clip of the song, “Soul Wars”. AWOLNATION took to the stage to perform the track last year at La Zona Rosa in Austin, Texas. Took to the stage should be replaced with tore the stage up. Bruno simply commands the platform under his feet with his ability to rock out like the bands of the 80s, but also fist pump and head nod like the singers and DJs of the electronic fad.
The band’s current single, “Not Your Fault” is now on sale on iTunes for a limited time for only$.69. The tune is the second single off the album as well as the second top five hit off “Megalithic Symphony”. In support of the album, AWOLNATION will be playing some radio shows at the beginning of March and then will be heading down to South Africa to play RAMFEST. The band will also be performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 14th and April 21st.
