According to sources for The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher Nolan has shown the first cut of “The Dark Knight Rises” to the top tier at Warner Bros.

According to the article, the executives grouped to watch the rough cut of the film include film chief Jeff Robinov and production president Greg Silverman. The reason for the early preview is so that Nolan will be able to have enough time to edit the film. From where I’m standing, I see it as a perfect plan. It’s probably one that could have benefited other Hollywood films if the avenue was taken. You can read more about the early screening and the editing process at The Hollywood Reporter.
