April Fools’ Day creates a lot of chaos. Some of that chaos gets spread around as entertainment news.

If you believed FirstShowing.net‘s post about “The Dark Knight Rises” being converted to 3D, then you were among the people hit with their April Fools’ joke. On April 1, the site made an elaborate post, complete with a press release created by NolanFans, stating that the conversion would preserve the detail of the film.

You can read more about the fake post at FirstShowing.

It’s a good April Fools’ joke, I’ll admit. However, I’ve never been the biggest fan of the holiday, so whatever.

What did you think about the joke? If you read it and believed it, what did you think about it at first? Give your opinions below.

“The Dark Knight Rises,” directed by Christopher Nolan, stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, a billionaire who has to take on the cowl once again as Batman in order to save Gotham the evil plot of terrorist Bane (Tom Hardy). Batman must also deal with the mysterious Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Anne Hathaway). The film, also starring Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Pence, Joey King, and Marion Cotillard, will be released July 20.

  1. No sh*t it’s not going to be 3D. Any fan of Christopher Nolan will tell you that he has said many times that the movie will NOT be in 3D. Besides, 3D sucks anyway, and it would so ruin TDKR…
