The upcoming independently released feature film ‘Terror of Dracula,’ which was written, directed and co-produced by, and starring, Canadian filmmaker Anthony DP Mann, is set to have its official premiere on Sunday in London. ‘Terror of Dracula’ is faithful to the the original Dracula story created by author Bram Stoker. Mann differentiated his movie from earlier Dracula adaptations by including the character’s true original pedigree and prestige.

‘Terror of Dracula’ was primarily filmed in Kingston’s Fort Henry in Canada. Kingston was chosen as the location because its decor is similar to the feeling of Transylvania, and features a degree of fear and terror. Being a fan of Stoker’s book, Mann wanted to deliver a film faithful to the original concept of the author.

Mann stars as the title character in the modestly-budgeted ‘Terror of Dracula,’ alongside a cast of local theater actors. Along with Mann, the cast includes Terry Wade as Professor Van Helsing, Matt Davis as Johnathan Harker, Denise Wedge as Mina Murray, Angella Scott as Lucy Westenra and Ilke Hincer as Quincy Morris.

‘Terror of Dracula,’ which has been described as the filmmaker’s most ambitious project to date, was co-written and produced by Bill Bossert. The two decided to purposefully age the film, to make it look as though it’s an un-restored print from 1975.
