All right, “Avengers” fans, I’m sure you guys will be salivating when you read this bit of news–according to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel’s “The Avengers” is projected to make over $500 million worldwide by Sunday!

According to the site, the film was released to international theaters just last week, and has already broken records for Marvel, becoming the most successful film produced in house by Marvel Studios. This bodes well for the studio itself, which was created only a few years ago with their first film being “Iron Man.” This also bodes well for Disney; “The Avengers” is the first Marvel Studios film marketed and distributed by Disney since the Marvel-Disney merger, according to the Reporter.

While the film is expected to make more than $150 million in North America on opening day (midnight this Thursday), it is expected to make between $350 million-$450 million when the film opens in Russia and China this weekend.

What do you think about this news? One thing’s for sure–with that type of money rolling in, there will definitely be more “Avengers” films coming down the line. Anyways, make sure to give your opinions in the comments section below, and, again, “The Avengers” debuts in America at midnight this Thursday, May 3.
