We’re back in Reboot Land! What do I mean by that? Well, we have another reboot to report. Well, it might be a reboot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Eastbound and Down” co-creator Jody Hill is set to direct a currently untitled action film for Warner Bros. This film will be set in the American south and is based around an outlaw duo in the 1970s. According to the Reporter, sources have said that the film will be in the style of a Sam Peckinpah film, such as “The Wild Bunch” and “The Getaway.” Sources have also said that the film could be a reboot of the late ’70s-to mid-’80s show, “The Dukes of Hazzard.”

Let’s not forget that other “Dukes of Hazzard film” that came out in the early ’00s, starring Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke. But unlike that “Dukes” film, this film sounds like it’s going to be a stylish, gritty and way more realistic version of the show.

You can read more about this story at The Hollywood Reporter.

If this is true, what do you think about another “Dukes” reboot film? Do you think this one could have box office legs, unlike the other one? Give your opinions in the comments section below.
