The first trailer for the anticipated ‘Anchorman’ sequel is scheduled to play before the theatrical showings of Sacha Baron Cohen’s new comedy, ‘The Dictator.’ Principal photography for ‘Anchorman 2’ won’t begin shooting until February, but the brief teaser will feature the Channel 4 news team talking about how excited they are to be back.

Adam McKay, the writer and director of ‘Anchorman,’ is currently writing the follow-up with star Will Ferrell. McKay did some script work on ‘The Dictator,’ which is why the ‘Anchorman 2’ teaser is set to appear before the comedy.

‘Anchorman’s main character, newscaster Ron Burgundy, announced on Twitter that the teaser trailer will appear exclusively with ‘The Dictator,’ beginning at midnight tomorrow. He added, “I don’t know what a teaser trailer is either but they say you all will. When did the world get so crazy? I’m having a scotch.”
