Danny Trejo is back in “Bad Ass,” a new gritty, entertaining film coming out on DVD and Blu-ray June 5. The Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment release, also starring Ron Perlman and Charles S. Dutton, tells the story of a Vietnam soldier that becomes a local hero when he saves an elderly black man:

Inspired by the viral video of a vigilante citizen taking action into his own hands, Bad Ass also stars Ron Perlman (“Sons of Anarchy,” Hellboy) and Charles S. Dutton (Alien 3). Decorated Vietnam hero Frank Vega returns home only to get shunned by society leaving him without a job or his high school sweetheart. It’s not until 40 years later when an incident on a commuter bus, where he protects an elderly black man from a pair of skin heads, makes him a local hero and he’s suddenly celebrated once again. But his good fortune suddenly turns for the worse when his best friend Klondike is murdered and the police aren’t doing anything about it.

Epic Movie Beatdowns

Explosive, Action-Packed Film Inspired By Epic Beard Man Viral Video Lands On Blu-ray and DVD June 5

In “Bad Ass,” Danny Trejo’s character gains infamy for getting involved in an utterly epic fight when defending a man on a city bus, and only goes on from there to be an instigator in numerous other scuffles, throwing punches left and right to anyone who stands in his way! In this feature, we’ll highlight some other truly larger-than-life movie battles – all of them sure to make you glad your path never crossed with either party involved.

Kicking criminal butts and taking the law into his own hands, Danny Trejo (Machete, “Sons of Anarchy”) ignites the screen in the gritty, violent and enthralling film Bad Ass. Inspired by the

Edward Norton vs. Himself in “Fight Club”

Obviously with a title like “Fight Club”, one can expect many battles to occur on screen. However, there is none so epic as the one that Edward Norton (The Narrator) has with himself in an effort to show his boss just how crazy he really might be after his threat of blackmailing him goes sour. In under a minute, Norton goes from looking completely normal to being beaten to a bloody pulp. And he has no one to blame but himself.

Newsteam vs. Newsteam in “Anchorman”

2004’s Anchorman may be an unexpected film for a viewer to find a large fight, yet the battle between the network’s reporting teams proves to be not only epic in size, (the feuding begins between two news teams, yet quickly grows to be massive in size), but also in laughs and surprising cameos as well.

The Bride vs. The Crazy 88s – “Kill Bill Volume 1”

What starts out as a fight between two women, one sword and a ??, ends with Uma Thurman (The Bride), enduring one of the craziest and bloodiest battles in all of Quentin Tarantino’s directorial repertoire, as she defends herself against 88 well armed men. Although the scene is insanely gory, Tarantino’s use of lighthearted music brings just a little bit of comedy to the intense bloodbath.

Scott Pilgrim vs. Gideon Graves and The Evil Exes vs. Each Other – “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World”

Scott Pilgrim must endure not, one, not two, but SEVEN lengthy battles, all with the “Evil Exes”
of his love interest, Ramona Flowers, in order to prove his love and win her heart. These mêlées
all culminate in one, final battle, wherein Scott must fight Ramona’s most evil Ex, Gideon Graves
(Jason Schwartzman), while simultaneously, Ramona is then forced into a fight with Knives, Scott’s ex-girlfriend. Lots of lights, video game noises, and special effects make this battle one where you won’t want to blink!
