Relativity Media has announced it has acquired the American rights to market and distribute the upcoming comedy ‘Paranoia.’ The film, which will be directed by Robert Luketic, stars ‘The Hunger Game’s Liam Hemsworth, Gary Oldman, Harrison Ford and ‘X-Men: First Class’ star Lucas Till.

‘Paranoia’ is set to begin filming this summer, and will be released in theaters on September 27, 2013. The thriller follows Adam Cassidy, played by Hemsworth, a blue collar guy trying to get ahead in his entry-level job at Wyatt Telecom. Adam is confronted by ruthless CEO Nicholas Wyatt after making a costly and illegal mistake.

Nicholas agrees not to turn Adam in, as long as he infiltrates the competition as a corporate spy. Adam soon finds himself surrounded by an expensive life he’s only ever dreamed of, as Nicholas prepares to stop at nothing to get a multi-billion dollar advantage. Adam realizes that his only way out of Nicholas’ ruthless game is to go in deeper.

‘Paranoia’ was written by Jason Dean Hall, and is based on an earlier draft by Barry Levy. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Joseph Finder. Alexandra Milchan of Emjag Productions, Scott Lambert of Film 360 and Deepak Naya will produce the film.
