Twentieth Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios has announced the voice cast for the newest 3D CG action-adventure comedy, “Epic,” a film from the creators of “Rio” and “Ice Age” which tells the story of good against evil in a magical forested world. What’s great is that the voice cast is just as epic as the film.

BeyoncĂ© (who is also set to play the star of the upcoming remake of “A Star Is Born,”) is set to play Queen Tara, and Colin Farrell will play a character called Ronin. Josh Hutcherson will play a character named Nod, Amanda Seyfried will play Mary Catherine and Johnny Knoxville will play Mandrake.

Other actors lined up include Aziz Ansari, who has been cast as Mub; Pitbull, who will play Bufo; Jason Sudeikis (starring in the upcoming film “The Campaign”), who will play Bomba and Steven Tyler, who has been cast as Nim Galuu. Blake Anderson and Judah Friedlander have also been cast as Dagda and Larry, respectively.

“Epic,” directed by Chris Wedge, will come to theaters May 24, 2013.

What do you think about this news? What do you think of the voice-acting cast? (Personally, I think it sounds very good!) Give your opinions in the comments section below.
