Jena Malone has been added to the list of actresses in the running to play Johanna Mason in ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ Indiewwire is reporting. She joins previously announced stars Mia Wasikowska and Zoe Aggeliki, who were being considered to play the girl from District 7. Johanna is a fierce competitor who teams up with Katniss and Peeta as they head into the 75th Hunger Games.

Malone is known for primarily appearing in independent films, with the exception of last year’s ‘Sucker Punch.’ But she recently appeared in the acclaimed History Channel mini-series ‘Hatfields & McCoys,’ which may help her win the role of Johanna.

Rapper and actor L’il Romer (Romeo Miller) has also said that he’s spoken to Lionsgate about appearing in ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.’ “You may be seeing me in one of ‘The Hunger Games,'” Miller said. He added they spoke about if there are any roles he would be interested in playing. The roles of Finnick Odair and Plutarch Heavensbee are still open for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ which opens on November 22, 2013.
