San Diego Comic-Con better get ready to party because Andrew W.K. will be in town this week. The world’s biggest comic book celebration, which kicks off on July 12th, will have more to handle than just the occasional zombie, vampire and superhero appearances with the king of “Party Hard” in the California city.
W.K. will be at hand at Comic-Con from July 12th to July 15th at the San Diego Convention Center. He has also been announced as the headline performer for the Comic-Con After Party (taking place at the 4th & B venue), presented by Spin Magazine + IHeartComix, on Friday, July 13t at 8pm. For the party, W.K. and his band will play a full concert, including a performance of his debut album, “I Get Wet”, in its entirety.
While in San Diego, W.K. will also debut his new music video at a special Comic-Con event with Century Media, to celebrate their upcoming special deluxe edition release of “I Get Wet”, which will drop on August 28th. The video premiere and party will take place on Saturday, July 14th, at The Mission Brewery (located at 1441 L Street).
