Do you want to check out the premiere photos from Fox Searchlight’s “Ruby Sparks?” Make sure to look below the post for the gallery! Also included are some pictures from Los Angeles’ Sparks in the Park event, which took place last Saturday.

The film is co-directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, written by Zoe Kazan (who also stars in the film) and also stars Chris Messina, Annette Benning, Antonio Banderas, Aasif Mandvi, Steve Coogan, Toni Trucks and Deborah Ann Woll.

Here’s the official synopsis of this quirky film:

“Calvin (Paul Dano) is a young novelist who achieved phenomenal success early in his career but is now struggling with his writing – as well as his romantic life.

Finally, he makes a breakthrough and creates a character named Ruby who inspires him. When Calvin finds Ruby (Zoe Kazan), in the flesh, sitting on his couch about a week later, he is completely flabbergasted that his words have turned into a living, breathing person.”

A film about creating your dream girl is bound to spark some interest, so if you want to see “Ruby Sparks” for yourself, the film opens in select theaters July 25. You can learn more about the film at its official website and Tumblr page.
