Roseanne fans, listen up! New details have been released about the anticipated roast of comedian Roseanne Barr. Comedy Central has just announced the celebrity roasters for its upcoming “Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne” program. Roastmaster Jane Lynch had already been announced. According to Comedy Central:
“Celebrity Roasters include the Academy Award®-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Sharon Stone; television and animation star Seth Green; the legendary performer and “Star Wars” Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher; and Golden Globe-winning actress Katey Sagal. This year’s Roasters also include comedians Anthony Jeselnik, Jeffrey Ross and Amy Schumer. Additional Roasters and talent to be in attendance will be announced shortly.”
Roseanne Barr is a legendary television actress and comedian who is well known for her role on the sitcom “Roseanne,” which ran from 1988-1997. She has also ventured into voice acting in “Look Who’s Talking Too” and “Home on the Range.” In addition to her work as an actress/comedian, Barr has also worked as a writer, producer, and director for television shows and movies.
The roast will be held at the Hollywood Palladium and will air on Sunday, August 12 at 10:00 P.M. ET/PT.
