‘Hunger Games’ actress Jennifer Lawrence may have lost out to her Hollywood peer Kristen Stewart for the lead role in ‘Lie Down with Darkness’ but the actress could quite possibly appear in ‘Ends of the Earth’. A Weinstein Company production, Lawrence will headline what should be one of next year’s strangest and unique love stories to hit theaters as the character Lydie Marland.

If she signs on, Lawrence would play a young girl adopted by her aunt Virginia and her oil baron uncle Ernest who she eventually falls in love with and marries at the age of twenty-eight years old. Her character is described as headstrong and smart. The film will focus in on their “love affair that ultimately destroys the empire they built together.” So far movie heads have yet to cast the role of Ernest. The script was written by Argo’s Chris Terrio with production set to kick off sometime next summer. Busy with the ‘Hunger Games’ franchise these days, Jennifer Lawrence is also currently attached to appear in ‘X Men: Days of Future Past’, as well as ‘House At The End Of The Street’ and ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, two films she will co-star in opposite Bradley Cooper.
