‘Gremlins’ director Joe Dante’s new 3D adventure fantasy thriller, ‘The Hole,’ is set to be released today in select theaters nationwide. The film will also be available on DVD, Blu-ray and VOD on Tuesday.

‘The Hole,’ which was written by Mark L. Smith, follows brothers Dane and Lucas, played by Chris Massoglia and Nathan Gamble, as they move into a new house. With their new neighbor, Julie, portrayed by Haley Bennett, they discover a bottomless hole in the basement of their home. They find that once the hole is exposed, evil is unleashed. With strange shadows lurking around every corner and nightmares coming to life, they’re forced to come face-to-face with their darkest fears to put an end to the mystery of the hole.
