As you may know, the blockbuster action film, “The Avengers,” was released to DVD and Blu-Ray on September 25th. In case you haven’t picked up the film or you just want more, we’ve got some bonus materials, including cast interviews and some exclusive clips (below):

Tom Hiddleston on playing Loki:

What do you like about your character in Marvel’s The Avengers?
Loki is such a great, larger-than-life character. He has so many dimensions. He is motivated by jealousy, ambition, pride, vanity, arrogance and greed – and yet he gets to have a lot of fun because of his predisposition towards mischief. On one level, he is this grandiose agent of chaos. He’s a cackling villain standing on rooftops, laughing at the sky. But on another level, he’s a lost child and a brother who was always the second string because he grew up in the shadow of Thor. He’s a rejected, abandoned son who has no place in the universe, so all his destructive anger is motivated by a lack of self-esteem. I don’t think he even knows it, but he’s desperately trying to give himself a purpose.

Robert Downey, Jr. on working with Joss Whedon:

What was it like to work with Marvel’s The Avengers director and writer Joss Whedon?
Joss Whedon is very good at what he does. He’s incredibly smart, and he’s a great director and writer. The script was constantly evolving. We would get eight or nine pages, and two days later he would say, “I was thinking about that… Now it should be this.” Once you look at it all on screen, it all comes together – and it’s very nice.

Kevin Feige on making “The Avengers”:
When did you come up with the idea of joining these iconic Marvel Super Heroes together for “Marvel’s The Avengers”?
The idea came during the production of Iron Man when we had the notion that S.H.I.E.L.D. could be part of both Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. We started looking at the list of characters in the Marvel Universe that hadn’t been taken by other studios: Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow and I thought, ‘Isn’t that interesting; all of these characters happen to form one of the most popular comic book series: The Avengers. When the idea of a Nick Fury cameo started coming up, we called Samuel L. Jackson and he thought it was a cool idea. It was his enthusiasm about it that led us to shoot the end credit scene. He says to Tony Stark, “You’re part of a bigger universe, you just don’t know it yet.” Well, that line was also Marvel telling the audience as well.

Joss Whedon on this project:

Why did you become so obsessed with the movie project?
I am a huge fan of what Marvel has established. The films they have released are extremely informative, useful and fun – but when they first came to me, Thor and Captain America were not even close to being finished. I thought to myself, ‘Okay, you have all these moving parts, but how can you possibly bring them together?’ Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America don’t seem like they could co-exist, and ultimately that is what intrigued me and made me think, ‘This can be done and this should be done.’ These people don’t belong together and wouldn’t get along, and as soon as that dynamic came into focus, I realized that I actually have something to say about these people.

Jeremy Renner on archery training:

Did you have a lot of archery training for the role?
I wanted to do my due diligence; to know enough about archery and to understand why things are – but we’re in a Marvel universe with Super Heroes and monsters. To be honest, I actually didn’t have to do very much archery training because I was using CGI arrows and I was shooting CGI monsters. Being a Super Hero and a super marksman, Hawkeye doesn’t look where he’s shooting, so I had to get rid of the actual archery skillset and just know that I’m pulling things and firing 1,000 times faster than any archer could ever fire.

IF YOU SCORED MOSTLY As… YOU’RE CAPTAIN AMERICA!
Captain America is a patriotic powerhouse in the peak of physical fitness. Not only is he a super-soldier with lightning-fast reflexes, but he’s also a master at hand-to-hand combat – and he’s the most moral guy you’ll ever meet. Though he possesses many heroic characteristics, his greatest asset is his refusal to give up in the face of a challenge. Way to go, Captain America!

IF YOU SCORED MOSTLY Bs… YOU’RE IRON MAN!
The invincible Iron Man is a technological genius! Not only can he fly through the air in his incredible suit of high-tech armor, but he’s also got brains and brawn. What are the downsides to his character? Well, he loves to party a little too hard at times and he likes to answer back, but he’s also the wittiest Super Hero on the globe. Good work, Iron Man!

IF YOU SCORED MOSTLY Cs… YOU’RE THE HULK!
The Hulk is a mighty green hero who’s a tower of strength. He’s a burly ball of angry energy and he’s definitely not somebody you’d like to meet in a dark alley. Perhaps not everyone will be green with envy about his Super Hero powers, but don’t let that worry you. He may have anger issues, but he’s always there when the world needs saving. Roar!

IF YOU SCORED MOSTLY Ds… YOU’RE THOR!
Thor is a powerful hero with a magic hammer! This mighty God from Asgard is fiercely loyal and he’s got the incredible ability to summon a storm at a moment’s notice – but he’s also a little backwards when it comes to the human world of Earth. Why? Well, he’s not from our planet! Thor is an invincible Super Hero with superhuman strength and a heart of gold… Awesome!
