According to We Got This Covered, a new trailer for the upcoming remake for Sam Raimi’s horror classic, “The Evil Dead,” was shown at the recent New York Comic-Con. We Got This Covered managed to get some footage of the trailer (taped by a fan at the conference). The site warns viewers that the trailer is gorey and perhaps not to best thing for people with weak stomachs. Check it out on their site here before it gets taken down.

Synopsis (from IMDB):

Mia, a young woman struggling with sobriety, heads to a remote cabin with her brother and a group of friends, where the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads to danger and horror.

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

The new film stars Jane Levy, Jessica Lucas, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Elizabeth Blackmore.
