XLrator Media has announced the launch of the multi-platform releasing labels, Screamfest and Macabre, to bring the best in horror and genre films to North American audiences. The labels will showcase the new horror visions from both American and international filmmakers.

Of the new labels, XLrator Media CEO Barry Gordon said “we are proud to join forces with Screamfest, one of America’s leading horror film festivals for over a decade. The festival has served as an authentic, fan-approved launching pad for dozens of talented filmmakers who have gone on to redefine the possibilities of the modern horror genre.”

Gordon added “the Macabre label will feature vampire clans, zombies, mystery hunters, killer hillbillies, even Sasquatch! Vanguard horror and genre films with an eye towards the provocative, envelope-pushing, and at times even the absurd are all at home on Macabre.”

Screamfeast will release the films ‘Outpost: Black Sun,’ the sequel to the 2008 movie ‘Outpost,’ and ‘Thale,’ which is part of the new wave of Scandinavian horror-thrillers. ‘Outpost: Black Sun’ follows a young woman who pursues a notorious Nazi war criminal in present-day eastern Europe. In the process, she uncovers a deadly army of zombie Nazi soldiers intent on the rise of the Fourth Reich.

‘Thale,’ which is based on a mythical character from Nordic folklore, follows two crime-scene cleaners who discover a tailed female creature in a concealed cellar. She never speaks, but the cleaners soon discover that she’s been held captive for decades.

Macabre will release ‘Bigfoot: The Lost Coast Tapes,’ which follows a Bigfoot hunter who claims to possess the body of a dead Sasquatch. So a disgraced investigative journalist stakes his comeback to prove the claims are a hoax. But the journalist and crew find the truth is much more terrifying than they could have imagined.

Another film to be released by Macabre is ‘The Thompsons,’ the sequel to the Butcher Brothers’ horror-thriller ‘The Hamiltons.’ The follow-up follows America’s most anguished vampire family as they head to England to find an ancient vampire clan. What they find instead can actually tear their family apart forever.
