The first movie trailer for Disney’s prequel to ‘The Wizard of Oz’ has hit the web. Titled ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’, the new clip teases how the wizard came to be, giving the additional plot details fans of the classic L. Frank Baum tale have been waiting for. Before you hit play to watch the teaser to see actor James Franco as the titular character alongside Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams get the extensive plot below. The Sam Raimi directed fantasy feature will hit theaters on March 8th 2013.
“When Oscar Diggs, a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot–fame and fortune are his for the taking–that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting.
