Oprah Winfrey discusses the collaboration between Academy Award winners Steven Spielberg, Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field in a new 90-minute interview on a special episode of ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter.’ Airing on Sunday from 9-10:30pm ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, the talk show hosts an intimate talk with the director and the two actors at DreamWorks Studios in Los Angeles.

In the same building where Winfrey auditioned for Spielberg for her role in ‘The Color Purple,’ the director discusses the process of creating ‘Lincoln’ and how he was moved to tears during filming. The two are then joined by Day-Lewis for a rare interview about his first-time collaboration with Spielberg. The actor also reveals how he immersed himself in Lincoln’s life for a year and how he created a sacred space with the rest of the cast on the set.

Winfrey also speaks with Field from her new home in California. The actress discusses the emotional depths she tapped into for her role as Mary Todd Lincoln, how she fought for the part and her immediate connection with her co-star. Field also talks about being plagued by self-doubt, her pride in parenting a son who is gay and the joy of entering the next chapter of her life.
