“Allegiance,” the independent film about a National Guard who must choose between his loyalty to his unit, a fleeing soldier and his wife-to-be, is now available on VOD and will be in theaters in New York December 28 and in Los Angeles January 4, 2013.

In celebration of the film, members of the cast, including Bow Wow, Reshma Shetty and Pablo Schreiber will make an appearance at Apple Store SoHo (103 Prince St., NY) as part of the Apple Store: SoHo: Meet the Actors series Thursday, December 13 from 7-8pm ET. The event will be moderated by E! News’ Alicia Quarles.

You can learn more about the event at Apple Store SoHo’s site. The trailer for the film is below.

Along with Bow Wow, Shetty and Schreiber, “Allegiance” stars Seth Gable, Aidan Quinn and Malik Yoba. The film is directed by Mike Connors.

“ALLEGIANCE, which is based on the director’s own personal experiences while serving in the military, pays tribute to the 21 million veterans living in the United States today. It was written, directed, produced and financed almost entirely by veterans. Former Navy SEALS and Army Green Berets were enlisted to train the actors and extras.

After being granted a questionable transfer that will keep him stateside as his National Guard unit deploys for Iraq, Lieutenant Danny Sefton (Seth Gabel) becomes embroiled in a last minute AWOL attempt by one of his soldiers (Bow Wow) — forcing him to choose between his loyalties to the fleeing soldier, his unit and his fiancĂ©e.”
