TUGG AND MONDO ENTER INTO A “BATTLE ROYALE”
The On-Demand Theatrical Platform & Collectible Art Company Team Up to Bring the Cult Classic to Theaters with a Spectacular Poster

Tugg, Inc., a web platform that enables movie lovers to choose the films that screen in their local theaters and create their own events, has partnered with Mondo, the collectible art division of the Alamo Drafthouse, to bring not only a new “Battle Royale” print from artists Bryan Lee O’Malley (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”) and Kevin Tong, but also to bring “Battle Royale” to theaters. The poster is the first collaboration between Mondo, O’Malley and Tong.

“Battle Royale,” which as been in the U.S. only as an import DVD, has recently been added to Tugg’s movie library for fans to create their own screenings at their local theaters. Also, Tugg promoters will be giving a number of Mondo’s “Battle Royale” posters to the attendees of the “Battle Royale” screenings that occur (while supplies last).

To celebrate, Mondo is hosting the first Tugg “Battle Royale” screening as part of the opening weekend festivities at the new, state-of-the-art Alamo Drafthouse Vintage Park in Houston. The screening will be February 16. The tickets are priced at $85 and includes the cost of one variant poster (edition of 225). The regular edition of the poster will be sold through MondoTees.com at a date yet to be announced. The regular version will also be the one used for the posters given at the Tugg screenings.

Released last year in North America by Anchor Bay Entertainment, “Battle Royale: The Complete Collection” DVD and Blu-ray set is available for fans to relive the cult classic. You can purchase tickets to the Alamo Drafthouse Vintage Park “Battle Royale” screening through Tugg. You can request a screening of the film in your hometown at Tugg as well.
