Some of the most iconic moments from the “Star Wars” series were made even more epic by the fantastic score created by John Williams. Even the prequels, the set of movies that have divided many “Star Wars” fans, were made tolerable by the amazing score. Now, Williams has said that he wants to continue making music for the series.

According to ComingSoon, Williams gave a small speech before playing the classic “Star Wars” theme during a concert by the Young Musician’s Foundation Debut Orchestra. According to a member of the John Williams Fan Network who attended the concert, Williams said, “…[E]ach time we play [the theme], I’m reminded of the first time we played it decades ago. Neither I, nor George, nor anyone else involved thought this would go far or in a few years there would be a sequel and I’d have to revisit the themes…and years later another trilogy. Now we’re hearing of a new set of movies coming in 2015, 2016…so I need to make sure I’m still ready to go in a few years for what I hope would be continued work with George…”

I know people have differing opinions about JJ Abrams directing the new “Star Wars” film, but I think one thing we can all agree on is that if Williams comes back, the film will, at the very least, sound great.
