“The Lone Ranger” is directed by Gore Verbinski and stars, aside from Depp and Hammer, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter. The film is a complete retelling of the classic “Lone Ranger” story:
