Alter Egos PosterIron Man, Wolverine, and Superman better watch out. Thanks to Jordan Galland’s “Alter Egos,” there’s a new supervillain lurking around that might actually have the power, wit, and charm to take them down.

“Alter Egos” made its big debut at last year’s Fantasia Film Festival before rolling into an October 19, 2012 release. It features Kris Lemche as Fridge, a superhero who suffers an identity crisis after he finds out his girlfriend digs his alter ego more. Even then, Fridge still has a job to do, so with all his emotional baggage in tow, he teams up with his buddy C-Thru (Joey Kern) to complete a mission.

In an industry oversaturated with mega budget superhero blockbusters, something like “Alter Egos” functions as the ideal breath of fresh air. The film even inspired one fan to make a short of his own inspired by the characters and world.
