British born actor Mem Ferda has signed on to serve as an Associate Producer for the upcoming action drama ‘Monumental.’ Ferda joins fellow associate producers Mary Dixon, Wendy Shepherd and Libby Anderson. The film, which was directed by Scott B. Hansen and written by Luke Albright and Gary Cairns, is an inspirational story that stars Cairns, Albright, Agnes Olech and Bill Oberst Jr.
The Stuart Page Films production follows two life-long friends, Steve and Clayne, as they journey out onto the open road to spread the ashes of Steve’s recently deceased mother. Along the way, they visit some of the greatest monuments in the United States, which his mother loved but never had the chance to visit. But the friends are also forced to deal with their own shortcomings, as well as the dangers of the open road. Steve and Clayne begin to question if they can survive the trip with their lives and friendship intact.
Ferda described ‘Monumental’ as “going to be such an emotionally charged film. The story is very moving and it really explores human relationships at depth not often seen in film.”
