If there’s one thing that’s awesome about “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” films, it’s that they always have great soundtracks. Of course, there’s more to love about the films than the soundtracks–like the story, characters, art design, and acting prowess–but, the soundtracks bring everything to life.

If you’re excited for the upcoming film, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” you’ll get even more excited when you see this music video for “I See Fire,” the song that will play over the end credits of the film.

I’m already a Sheeran fan, but I think I became an even bigger fan after watching this video. According to Hollywood.com, Sheeran not only wrote the song, but he performed almost every part–including the violin part. The cello section is the only part not performed by Sheeran.

Check out the video below the post and write what you think in the comments section below. I’ll already tell you though–it’s a great song and its one that every “Hobbit” fan will have on repeat.

“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” is directed by Peter Jackson and stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. The film will be in theaters Dec. 13.
