“Anchorman 2” has been doing tons of awesome things for promotion, from Ron Burgundy co-anchoring an actual local newscast, his ESPN anchoring stint, and those awesome Chevrolet commercials. Now, Yahoo Screen has released an exclusive clip from the film.

In the scene, Burgundy–played by Will Ferrell–is contemplating leaving his San Diego post and become one of the anchors of a state-of-the-art 24-hour news station in New York City. Seeing how 24-hour news stations were very new at in the early ’80s, it’s a risky move. Take a look at the clip by clicking here.

“Anchorman 2,” directed by Adam McKay and focuses on Burgundy and his crew’s foray into the untested waters of the 24-hour news cycle. Here’s more about “Anchorman 2”:

“With the 70’s behind him, San Diego’s top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk in ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.’ Also back for more are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) – All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy… while taking the nation’s first 24-hour news channel by storm.”

“Anchorman 2” will be in theaters Dec. 18.
