I’ve watched “American Idol” this season after a couple of seasons not watching it and I do have to say that overall, the judging has been a lot better than it has been since Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell left. Not everything is great about the show, mind you, but the judging–particularly Harry Connick, Jr.–has been really engaging. If you have been watching this season and were wondering if all of the judges would be back next season, or if there would even be another season, you’re in luck! All of the judges will be back for brand new season!

People Magazine confirmed the news that Connick, Lopez and Urban would return thanks to a source. The source said that “the New Dream Team” had a “fantastic” experience working together. “They like and respect each other a lot,” said the source. “What you see on camera is exactly what you get when they’re off–fun, playful but they all take this job very seriously.” It’s also worth saying that Ryan Seacrest will also be back as host for the show. He also said during Wednesday’s show that the auditions for the next season will begin June 18 and will come to each of the judges’ hometowns–Nashville (Urban), New York (Lopez) and New Orleans (Connick).

I lost interest in this season of “American Idol” as it went on–not due to the judges, though. They were all right. But I just might watch the next season since the team will be back.

What do you think about this news? Are you glad all the judges will be back? Talk about it in the comments section below!
