Did it have to be said? With the performance that “Godzilla” has done at its small time at the box office, it should come as no surprise that Warner Bros. was going to go full throttle into sequel mode. Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros. has already committed to a second film about the Toho monster.

The film, according to CinemaBlend, has made $103 million on its international opening. Domestically, the film made $93 million during its opening weekend as well as $38.5 million opening day. With those kind of numbers, it’s no wonder that Warner Bros. would love see the monster once again.

So the question is what would happen now that Godzilla is coming back to the theaters at some point in the future? Well, there are plenty of monsters they could use, such as the legendary Mothra. Deadline stated that Gareth Edwards said he would “use the same kind of restraint that he did for this one.” That’s great to know; a more realistic approach to the monster is what’s making such an impact now.

Have you seen “Godzilla” yet? What did you think about the film? Talk about this in the comments section below.
