It would seem that the film no one knew was being made (or even expected was in production) was a brand new “Night at the Museum” film. Whether or not we expected it, wanted it, or needed it, it’s coming this December.

“Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” is the latest installment in the franchise, starring Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais, Dan Stevens, Rebel Wilson and Ben Kingsley. The film, directed by Shawn Levy follows Stiller’s character Larry once again as he has adventures with wax figures of historical characters.

“Get ready for the wildest and most adventure-filled Night At the Museum ever as Larry (Ben Stiller) spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.”

The first two films were actually quite good, in my opinion. I had fun with them. Let’s hope that the third film continues the trend of being light action-comedy films that the whole family can enjoy.

The film comes to theaters Dec. 19; if you want to follow the film, make sure to check out the film’s Facebook and Twitter pages (#NightAtTheMuseum).
