Katie Cassidy is confronting her mental illness, and is looking for a cure, in her new sci-fi thriller, ‘The Scribbler.’ The action movie, which is set to be distributed in theaters and on VOD and iTunes on September 19 by XLrator Media, also stars Michelle Trachtenberg, Eliza Dushku, Gina Gershon, Sasha Grey, Garret Dillahunt, Michael Imperioli and Billy Campbell.

The following synopsis for ‘The Scribbler,’ which was directed by ‘Family of Four’ helmer John Suits and written by ‘Doghouse’ scribe Dan Schaffer, has been released by XLrator Media:

The Scribbler follows Suki (Katie Cassidy), a young woman confronting her destructive mental illness using “The Siamese Burn,” an experimental machine designed to eliminate multiple personalities. The closer Suki comes to being “cured,” she’s haunted by a thought… what if the last unwanted identity turns out to be her?
